The rate of decline in euro-zone employment accelerated sharply in the first three months of 2009 and, although survey measures of employment intentions have picked up a little, further significant job cuts lie ahead. No euro-zone country will emerge unscathed, but commercial property rental values in Spain continue to look especially vulnerable to the labour market downturn.
