Over the past year, the Polish retail market has moved from being one of Europe’s top performers for rental value growth, to one of the laggards. In the short term, factors such as falling residential prices, rising unemployment and sluggish real wage growth are likely to keep consumer spending growth subdued, meaning that retail occupier demand and rental values may fall a little further this year.
