Belgium v the Netherlands: where is the rental value outlook best?

For now, the Belgian economy is clearly outperforming its struggling neighbour, the Netherlands. But we expect both to contract this year and next, by a total of between 3% and 4%. Based on the historic relationships between growth in commercial property rents and their macroeconomic drivers, however, the rental value outlook appears a little less gloomy in the Netherlands.
