Yesterday’s retail sales data from Poland suggest that occupier demand for retail floorspace in Warsaw is still strong relative to most of Europe. But the big picture is that consumer spending growth is likely to slow by more than most expect this year. And if we are right that the zloty will lose ground to the euro, retail rental values may do no more than stagnate in 2012.
