Manufacturing PMI surveys for October showed that industry across Emerging Europe started Q4 on a strong note. The improvement in Poland was particularly encouraging, and Central Europe in general appears to have held up relatively well. Meanwhile, the increase in the PMI in Russia adds to evidence that the worst of the recession is probably now over.
