This month’s Economic Sentiment Indicators for Central and Eastern Europe were encouraging – our regional aggregate rose to its highest level since September 2008. Admittedly, there were some tentative signs that the VW emissions scandal may have hit manufacturing in the Czech Republic and Hungary. But insofar as there has been any impact, it appears to have been small.
