Sterling and Gilt yields initially jumped following the UK general election results, but they have since fallen back a bit. In fact, we doubt that they will rise again substantially as long as there remains the possibility of something like a “no deal” at the end of next year. By contrast, we think that UK equities will continue to rally and outperform their peers elsewhere in developed markets.
