Weaker business investment intentions could not come at a worse time for the domestic economy. With housing investment contracting and governments reining in spending, slower business investment growth will make it even tougher for the economy to rebalance smoothly. Overall, softening investment intentions support our view that the economy is likely to struggle in 2013, posting anaemic 1.0% GDP growth.
