Even though the Reserve Bank of Australia has now left interest rates on hold at 2.0% for seven meetings and appears to be going cold on the idea of further cuts, we still think that a weakening in the outlook for both activity and inflation will prompt the RBA to reduce rates to 1.5% next year.
