Global aluminium production rose at a slightly slower pace in July, mostly because production in North America fell at a faster clip, while output in Europe continued to slump. Production growth could slow further this month due to renewed power rationing in China and still-rising power prices in Europe. In turn, constrained global supply and low stocks should prevent aluminium prices falling much further.
