Signs of stabilisation but tensions remain high

Strains in the financial system appear to have eased a little over the past week or so, as policymakers continue to roll out new support measures. Our view remains that while central banks can probably prevent the pandemic from morphing into a full-blown financial crisis, markets will remain under pressure until there are signs that the spread of the virus is slowing.
