New Home Sales (Apr.)

New home sales recorded their largest monthly decline in over two years in April, reversing nearly all of the gains seen since the start of the year. Given the extremely low numbers of existing homes for sale, potential buyers should be looking more closely at the new homes market. But, for now, first-time buyers are finding most new homes are out of their price range. New sales will be constrained until builders shift towards constructing cheaper properties.
