Although the Norwegian economy is set to contract less sharply than most of Europe this year, the fact that weakness in occupier demand has occurred alongside a large boost to supply means that Oslo prime office rents will decline by a greater extent than other markets. That said, we expect this new supply to be absorbed next year as the pace of economic growth picks up, allowing a solid recovery in rents.
