What to make of the US stock market’s latest performance

The resilience of the US stock market since Donald Trump revealed he had COVID-19 suggests investors are not worried for now about the implications for the economy. While this is presumably mainly because the president seems to be winning his battle against the virus, it may also reflect a view that his misfortune has raised the chances of more fiscal stimulus.
