Earnings announcements due this week from the five largest listed companies in the US merit particularly close attention given how well their share prices have performed in relative terms over the past six months or so, both before and after the global outbreak of coronavirus. We suspect that these mega caps will have some success in consolidating their positions as the world slowly gets back to normal, provided they can avoid an anti-trust backlash. However, we would be surprised if their shares continued to outperform so much then.
