The UK Outlook - Recovery, Reflation and Policy Reaction

Group Chief Economist Neil Shearing is joined by Chief UK Economist Paul Dales and Senior UK Economists Ruth Gregory and Thomas Pugh to discuss the UK economic outlook, including the pace of recovery, the inflation risk, and the likely Bank of England response.
As the UK slowly moves out of its third COVID-19 lockdown, Paul Dales, Ruth Gregory and Thomas Pugh will discuss the economic outlook and how policymakers will respond. Our UK Economics team will discuss issues including:
  • The pace of the economic recovery as COVID-19 restrictions are eased;
  • The speed and extent of the rebound in inflation;
  • The policy response of the government and the Bank of England.
  • What all this means for UK financial markets.
